| Post subject: | Lift, spacer, wheel & tire combo question |
Hi all, new to LOST and a new Liberty owner. I'm looking for a little help on an issue. I run a 2004 Libby, with a mopar brush guard and the new rough country 3" suspension lift, well 3 in the front 2 in the rear. It's tire time and I'd like to know what I'd be best off with. I want to stay with the stock 16" rim for now. I don't want to cut up my bumper and I want to retain as much of the wheel well cover as i can. I also want to avoid major rubbing. Mostly my Jeep is used for very mild off road use, beach, and paths. I also occationally tow my 21 foot boat very short distances but I have a helper spring setup to mostly eliminate sag. You all seem to be the foremost experts on the liberty so here I am. Any help and pictures would be appreciated. Thanks |

When in doubt, go Grabbers.
Good all-purpose tire, and when you do decide to push the limits a bit, this tire will be ready. I have 245/70 16 Grabbers on my KJ with a 2.5" lift, but you could go 245/75 16 with possible minor rubbing, depending on your setup. |

Well,I'll start it off.I'm also running about a three inch lift, with Cooper Discoverer ATRs 265/75/16 on American Racing polished Baja's with 4 1/2" backspacing as opposed to the stock wheels 5 1/2" backspacing. The backspacing gives the stance 1" on either side, making the already stable Libby even more stable. Welcome Home Ron
