Post subject:  Answers Anyone??

I have already posted this in the tire section and i need some input before the deal on these tires is gone so any help would be great....
I was wondering if anyone knew if its possible to run the 265/70/17 JK tires( Not the rims, just the tires)? How much larger are they compared to the 265/75/16's? Alos how would they look with the 17" rims and what kind of rims would you recommend for these tires? I'm currently running a OME lift and am going to do a isolator/clevis lift to gain another 1"+. Any input would be greatly appreciated. The tires are BF MT's and only have 1000kms thats why iam asking..Its a deal i can't pass up if they will fit and look decent!

According to this chart the 265/75/16's are the same height as the 265/70/17's.....
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
265/75-16 7.8in 15.8in 31.6in 99.4in 637 0.0%
265/70-17 7.3in 15.8in 31.6in 99.3in 638 -0.1%

Thanks

Josh

JJKS iam still not sure what kind of rims i should get with them, What would you consider? I was thinking something on the less expensive side, but what ever will look good and fit good is what i will go for. Any recommendations would be good on what syle of rims, color ei. I was thinking maybe the crager soft 8's.....?

IMHO, you can't go wrong w/ the black Soft 8s.

Hey renegadekj......I'm running the 265/75/16's with 3 to 3 1/4" of actuall lift, and I had to trim away some plastic at the fog light doors and also a little on the fender flare.I also have the 16x8 AR polished BAJA's with 4 1/2" backspacing. You need the backspacing so the tires won't rub the swaybar, but it sits the tire out a little farther, and thats why I had to trim the flares.Adding the clevis lift should increase your odds of being O.K.,but I would'nt rule out some plastic trimming just in case.
