Your signature states that you already have Mopar skids, (engine, transfer, gas tank) those are all that's needed except for rocker bars, and you're good to go.

1. Front Skid - also known as the engine skid
2. Transmission skid - Tranny skid
3. Transfer Case Skid
4. Fuel Tank Skid

That is what you need if you go off-roading. OEM Tranny skid will not survive good hits. If you do easy stuff, not an issue for the most part......

Get an All J Tranny Skid. Best out there. It's like having tank armor under there.

I thought All J just had the SS1? so are the other skids the skid row stuff?

They make the Super Skid 1 for 02-03. The Super Skid 2 is for 04 and newer that have dual cats. If my memory serves me correctly.

You can get the others from Mopar, Rusty's etc. Since you have the one that protects the oil pan (engine skid), you would need the t-case and fuel tank skids. Some people have mentioned that the holes in the corners of the Mopar gas tank skid leave you vulnerable to something still getting at the tank (seem to recall Ted or one of the CO guys had that happen), so if you can afford it the Kilby tank skid is probably the way to go.

Man this is all confusing. I thought the SS1 would cover from the engine to the tranny. So,I have a Kilby coming for the tank. so to break this down I need to get a SS1 which covers only the tranny, and engine skid and a T_case skid. I also have a poison Spider Customs protector coming for the differential.

OK, here are the skids in order front to back:

Engine (this should be the one you already have)

Transmission (the SS1 covers a lot more than this one, and it's heavy-duty enough to balance your KJ on if you can find a good rock)
Image

T-case (probably the only one left you need to order)
Image

Gas tank (you say you have a Kilby coming? Good enough)

That front skid can take a beating. It is thin but the molded/pressed bends/angles reinforce its strength.

Yep, it's stout. On a guess I'd say it's made from 12ga steel (1/8" thick). Mine got bent a while back and I took it off to see if I could straighten it out - Tried a 2lb dead-blow with no luck, tried standing on it with no luck, tried leaning it against the curb section in the parking lot and driving up on it, still bent. Put it back on and I was able to get three of the four bolts in, tried using my jack to get the last one in but the drivers side front tire came off the ground and I still couldn't quite line up the slot with the hole in the crossmember. Guess I'll have to get my drill out

ok I guess im either not hearing what I want or im just dumb. it was stated the the Super Skid 1 only covers the tranny... so then I need to get an engine skid and a T-case skid to have full armor. I am also getting a Kilby tank skid. are, lets say the skid row skids compatible with the SS1 or should I just go with all Skid row armor to make sure it all fits right?
