There was a post on this a while back The links are still good. PM ducktail to see if he got his. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=224314&highlight=#224314 I don't know about 05 and up but I would think they'd work. Here are the actual links to the hitches. http://www.ontheball.com/front_end_hitches_jeep.htm http://www.amazon.com/Milemarker-60-65042-Receiver-2002-04-Liberty/dp/B000FPY1RI/ref=sr_1_17/002-2492917-4807257?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1183946051&sr=1-17 |

Thanks for all the replies. The Hidden Hitch mount looks promising, although it's ony 02-04, has anyone fitted one to a later vehicle? Thanks, Cam |

I have the hidden hitch on my 05, fits fine, slight bumper trimming necessary where the reciever is and need to relocate (or take off) front licence plate if you have one.

The Drawtite/Reese is one piece and requires a little more disassembly to install and similar trimming. Not a huge deal though. The nice feature of that hitch is that it has a couple of welded loops on the ends near the attachment points to use as alternate recovery points. I was planning on replacing my front bumper and hitch with a Rock Lizard bumper down the road but with the redesign eliminating the hitch receptacle I will likely stay where I am at. |

I agree on the the RL bumper, I was considering that option, but with the proposed changes, I will go with the hitch instead. It's a shame as I really liked the RL bumper and receiver as it was. Cheers, Cam |

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have been interested in this also. I have looked at the hitches at Wal Mart (forgot brand). It says it is for the Liberty, but it comes in 2 pieces, and is adjustable for many different sizes/makes of vehicle. I was thinking of picking one up and holding it under the front end to see what mods it would take to make it work. My question is, has any one else tried this? |

well as I have mentioned in a similar post. If someone has one and then gets an after market bumper they most likely wont have a use for it anymore ???? So I would post in the parts wanted section |

I got one out of a place in Atlanta. I promptly took the hitch to the garage that will put it on. That was nearly a month ago. I got it the day before my family's vacation and just not been in a great rush. I will look at it this week. The invoice is with the hitch so I don't recall the plase I got it from. I could not find anyone else who carries it any more. |

hey guys & gals looking for a front hitch. I found these on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320273816661 the part number is the same as the one I just bought, however it is not the exact same as what others have posted (65042 vs 5042). I couldn't confirm with the seller if it is actually indeed for a Liberty. |

I hear ya, i still have my Landy front hitch to install, brand new sitting on the shelf in the garage. I'll sell it for $500 , still cheaper than a arb bumper. j/k it's not for sale unless someone really wants to give me $500 for it. |
