| Post subject: | Nth Degree is Finished! |
I don't know if there's any truth to this, but I came across it on another forum. It appears Nth Degree Mobility went bankrupt. I didn't find any mention of it on their website. Can anyone confirm? http://nthdegreemobility.com/catalog/home.php I know the use of their product line is becoming increasingly popular for the SFA swaps. Shame if it's true, a lot of their products were/are innovative. Quote: Dear Nth Degree customer planning to attend WWII:
It is with great regret that we announce the closing of Nth Degree Mobility. We have suffered a series of setbacks over the past 7 months that we have been unable to recover from, and so with great regret, we have closed our doors as of last week. This also means that Wheeling Weekend II is now cancelled – with double apologies for the late notice/bad timing! We apologize for every inconvenience our sudden closure causes you, but it was not for us to decide. We have greatly appreciated all of your support over the years, as we have/had one of the strongest customer bases of any company we know of…and we’re sorry to have to disappoint all of you. We sincerely thank you for believing in us enough to buy our products and liking us enough to be planning to visit/wheel with us next weekend, but sadly this will not be possible as we will not be here nor is there a ‘here’ to gather at. For what it’s worth, we are in talks with a well known manufacturer who may pick up and carry on the Nth Degree line of products; if that happens you will hear from them when they announce it (not sure how soon that might come). Take care and may all of your off-road adventures be awesome! Nicole & Jim |

Another company is taking them over. Rumors online say it is AEV. Don't worry, their products will be back. |

Yeah, I think Jon has a good point and I give him the upper hand for now. So how is Seth going to counter? |

There is now speculation of a lawsuit cause of a failure that may have caused a serious accident...just a thought not proven but this poster brought up some good points on specific ways Nths response letters were written. They have always had countless issues with welds breakin... JimmyC wrote: the good thing about innovator is that we get neat new products that usually seem to kick booty. The problem with this is that the company (too often) doesn't spend enough time and money on long term R&D. I saw the EXACT same thing happen with my Grand Prix club. A company was selling a "limited slip" differential. They accomplished this my modifying the stock diff. with plats and springs. A few months later, transmissions were ticking time bombs.
After reading Nth's statement, I can't help but imagine bad things. Add the past threads about busted welds make it worse. My gut says.......someone was running an Nth system. It suffered catastrophic failure. In doing so, it caused an accident. In the wake of an accident, there was a lawsuit. Lawsuit's take time....maybe like "7 months" ago?! If a judgment is made, its "not for us to decide". |

Ok, cool. I thought mabe there was a thread somewhere stating a bunch of Nth failures. Considering I have seen or heard of failures on just about every brand of 4x4 lift part I will take it all w/ a couple grains of salt. Hopefully the good luck that allyrand and Seth are having w/ their SFA KJ's using Nth parts is a good indicator that we won't see too many problems long term. I also know there are a ton of Nth kits out there wheeling hard often so I trust they are ok. |

I have a BUNCH of their "add on kits" on the TJ for a year now with little to no issues the very minor issues I have/had were my own doing not theirs I have their TT on the TJ and I am now nurvious due to the "special" tranny mount that I may not be able to get should I need to replace it in the future |
