I think it would work. Im sure there are some drawback to that but somebody with more experience will let you know im sure Would that make it higher in the front though? |

your gonna blow up your shocks eventually with that set up in front. the rear set up would be okay.. |

The .75 spacer on the front would give around 1.5in of lift with that OTT lift. I do not like those OTT spacers. Two extra upper isolators above the rear springs would level the Jeep out real nice like. |

what about just the poly front spacer and one rear isolator? |

The first question I would have is how many miles on the 2004 and then since you are going to use a poly spacer are you replacing the struts? If your 2004 is like mine (over 86000) the springs and struts need replacing anyways so why not upgrade, I already know the answer I want to do it cheap but then you put the poly spacer in there with used everything else and then OH well you know the rest of the story! You will be replacing them soon. What are you looking to do primarily? Just a little lift for looks? OR ?? Tom |

well i was going to do struts and shocks too.i mainly want a little lift and raise the front to make the truck sit level.i was reading good things about monroe sensatracs, and i can get them pretty cheap.i dont do much off roading.my original plan wa to do OME F/R springs with RANCHO front struts and OME rear shocks.THIS WAY SEEMS ALOT CHEAPER. |

If you are going to replace the struts then the poly will give you some lift, and ride should be somewhat stiffer as well. If you have a ton of miles maybe find a set of low mileage spring for cheap and throw in there as well, just a thought. You are looking at it the right way, sorry for all the questions Tom |

If you have the front springs then a set of front struts, find a set of 2.5 inch rear lift spacers ( just sold a set recently) |

i got this idea from an article on the ROCK LIZARD website.it was the budget boost for an XJ.in the article the author uses a higher rate spring from a v8 GRAND CHEROKEE and a front isolator that net him a 1 and 5/8 inch lift in the front.the rear he uses an add-a-leaf.the whole package is aided by monroe sensatracs.my goal is to lift the KJ a little over an inch, maybe 1.5.the shocks and struts (monroes) i can get cheap because my dad delivers part time at an auto parts store.i was thinking of CRD front springs with a RUSTY'S 3/4inch isolator and maybe stock rear springs with a 3/4inch isolator.i dont do much ofroading and not looking to add huge tires as i have brand new GRABBERS.just want to get rid of front rake while adding a little height and maintaing comfortable ride without spending too much cash. |

The rustys springs will give right at 2.5in of lift so if you only want 1.5 I would just use the rustys spacer. I wouldnt get CRD spings since the spring rate is insane on those. It would ride rough and just isnt a good idea. It would also be harder to compress them to get a spacer inside the coilover. If you just want 1.5in or lift, put the rustys .75 spacer on the front and nothing else. See what you think about that and if you need to, you can get an extra one or two upper isolators for the rear. Its your choice on the shocks. Ive never heard anything bad about the monroes. Idk how many people run them on a KJ though. |

ok,if anyone cares, this is the combo i may go with CRD front springs 3/4 poly spacer from RUSTY'S rear prelowered springs RUSTY'S 3/4 inch isolator. MONROE SENSATRACS |

bigmd, Why are you so into CRD springs? Are you planning to add a heavy bumper (ARB or other) and winch? I'd take Jeepjeepster's advice and avoid the CRD springs and the jarring ride. That spring rate is overkill on a lightweight gasser KJ. I used to think that 1.5" of lift would do the trick. It's definitely an improvment and looks nice, but once I started hanging out with these LOST guys and getting into offroading even a little bit, I began to feel that 1.5" of lift isn't enough, especially with the Mopar front skid plate hanging down so lo. Every bit of ground clearance helps on the trail and on snowy roads in the winter. I definitely got my money's worth with my 1.5"/2" Daystar lift, but in hindsight I wish I'd have gone with a full 2" in the front. Just my two cents. Keep the change. |

i just thought the higher rate of the CRD spring will add some lift along with the 3/4 inch spacer |

Years ago thats the way we did it go with the highest rate springs we could find and then we knew we would have the lift we wanted. Now springs are built around both lift and comfort on the road. IF YOU are going to go with a bumper soon then sure if not then no, too harsh, I know what the OME Heavy Dutys ride like and they are a little rough on the road for most since people anymore like cushy riding 4WDs. Just dont want you to do all this work and not like the ride afterwards. If it was me |
