Skip #1, #2 and #4...all are OTT (Over The TOP) spacers lifts and they have been problematic.

#3...I don't know if this DayStar has the built in bump stops for the UCA

#5...I have seen this one is action and it works great...gives about 2" in lift...must add a longer rear shock...RevTek.

Also Call Heather at http://www.boulderbars.com ...She will be able to tell you which DayStar Puc Lift has the built in bump stops. They have a wide choice of lifts available for the KJ.

For a bit more $$$...many here have been happy with Rusty's Full Spring lift. (~$450.00)

Rocky Road Outfitters used to sell a "Combo lift" that gave 2.25" of lift. It had a smaller internal puc up front plus a 1/4" or so top plate which was safe.

I have the RevTek and I love it. I got some skyjacker rear shocks to go with it and I have had no problems what so ever. I don't know much about the others but I like the RevTek. Got mine installed for a little over $500 with the new shocks. I run 245/75/16's with no problem and I could run 265/70/16's if I wanted to but they would rub at full lock on the uniframe.

I have a Daystar KJ09123 that I bought from All J, and I've been happy with it. It gives 1.5" lift up front and 2" in the rear. Handling has been fine on pavement and mild offroad trips. My only complaint is that the Liberty sits visibly higher in the rear (duh!). Didn't bother me at first. When I replace my shocks, I will either install taller front springs from a pre-lowered KJ or replace the front spacers in favor of Old Man Emu 925 light-duty springs.

If I had it to do all over again, I would have gone with the full 2" or 2.5" Daystar lift. But for only $170 parts, I'm very satisfied.

Why not put .25" between the clevis and the strut? That would give you a pretty even ride. And the only expense would be a new alignment.

I've considered that. With my luck, some mechanic would "correct" things and I'd end up where I started. Also, I don't like the idea of having a part out of place. I've never heard of a clevis lift causing problems, but there's a first time for everything. I don't wanna tempt fate. My KJ has 55K miles on it, so a few bucks for taller front springs seems like a relatively inexpensive upgrade to perform while the struts are being replaced anyway.

i have the Revtek and have no complaints. like someone mentioned above, you'll want to replace the rear shocks. i got some shocks for a 03' Durango from Autozone and they work just fine.

Has anyone ran the ROugh Country 3" lift? What is the largest tire you can run on a KJ with a 2.5" or 3.0" lift? My wifes KJ needs new tires and want to go bigger will not see off road use(mall speed bumps only). I'm thinking 26575R16s

I kind of know the P tire size break down, I'm just spoiled with my XJ on 35's, and wasn't sure of the usable size of tires on a KJ as we don't have many of them come into the dealership I work at lifted or anything.

Thats what I'm running, but you'll need wheel spacers,or wheels with less backspacing(so as not to hit the swaybar),pinchweld pounding, and some plastic trimming. If you don't do any hardcore wheelin'you can trim the plastic so that you can hardly tell it was done.I'm runnin' the Cooper ATR's and they have a very aggressive look, but ride smooth and reasonably quiet.
