After looking at so many pics of Libbys with no front skid, and realizing how much extra clearance they have is making me want to rip mine off. I know I know.. bad idea, it's not going to happen, but do I have any other options other than lifting? I thought I read somewhere a long time ago about a flatter skid that didn't hang down so far. Don't have the $$$ yet for a lift, yet these tiny little rocks (gravel anyone?) are beating the crap out of my skid. I usually start scraping, then just turn around and leave to avoid damage. I'm not talking boulders here, really. I feel like my Libby is sitting on the ground after trying to manage a few very easy trail runs.

Well I know it will be difficult to get one but the SkidRow front skid is flatter and gains about 1" of clearence over the OEM front skid,it's also 3/16" steel.I love mine, takes a beating and haven't dented yet, even jacked up the whole front end from the middle of it(jack slipped) and I have the ARB bumber with a winch.

nothing much you can do besides take it off or get a lift.

Just be careful if you do take it off.

I couldnt stand the factory clearance, and we dont rock climb in Iowa...

I ate potato soup for dinner for 2 months and bought the FRANKENLIFT, well worth it, I promise.

I'd have to vote for a lift.

I have no skids and I pucker so much on the trail, theres hardly a hole left.

Save $$ and get a lift. It's well worth it.
