I am running a Rusty's 2.5" Lift w/ a 3/8" Clevis Lift in the front and the "upgrade" OME Shocks (N132 not N132L) in the rear w/ a total of 3 (2 extra + stock) Upper Spring Isolators, and 245/70R16s. Now, best I can tell, I have not stuffed the rear any, but are the extra isolators enough to keep the OME rears from being overcompressed and wearing out too quickly? If not, which Bumpstops (and what length) do folks recommend for this set-up? |

I'm ordering the N132L's and the extended bump stops from All J's. I'm not sure if you need them with the N132's. |

I've seen a older write-up where they used 2 hockey pucks per side,I may try this because I have bottomed out and had only the shock taking the hit.. |

I tried just one hockey puck with my 31s and it wasnt enough and had to go with 2 with the same amount of lift you have. Although I have 3 3/4 back spacing so they dont really stuff inside the wheel well. Christopher |

Christopher and does it matter that his tire size is small enough to work without any rubbing or stuffing problems in an unlifted KJ? does he need more stop because the tires are smaller? or is this backward thinking on my part? |

I just go up a steep hill at an angle till my tire is at full compression and check for rubbing. I know with more backspacing the tire will stuff up into the well unlike mine that will hit the flare. Christopher |

Well, it may be backward, but it was the same thinking that I was working on when I posted this. If I have the all extra height, but just over stock size tires, this would allow the shocks and springs to have just that much further travel, potentially causing them to blow!!! So besides drilling rubber hockey pucks (per the online RL article) are there any commercial options for extended bumpstops with this set-up? |

Yeah, in Michigan!!! I can't tell you the last time I have even SEEN a hocky puck in ATL (outside of a Thrashers game that is). Not readily available at ANY sporting goods store down here (I checked), so I would have to order from somewhere else and pay shipping. At that rate, why not buy something purpose-built for the job... |

Anything that will fit inside the spring equal to the amount you're lifted and you can drill a hole through to attach to the spring perch should work. Get creative |

Rayman975 maybe you can sell them (boat rollers) on here, just package them up and sell them as rear bumpstops Tom |

I'd also be willing to make bumpstops for people using hockey pucks... Say, $20 shipped? Just PM me the size you want |

Funny really since so many argued with me that bumpstops were not needed at all and now............. Tom here to inform the uninformed and to mess with the minds of those who think they are informed |
