i say go with the frankenlift, it is worth the extra $$$$. when you order the lift just tell them you plan on getting the ARB and they will send the proper springs. |

Your lift all depends on how much you want to spend, save and do yourself. All answers will come back to Old Man Emu Med. duty springs and coils or HD springs and coils. If all you want is a bull bar and no winch, the Med. will work fine, according to ARB and OME (same company) I am putting on HD's per the many responses I have gotten here. Don't mess with the spacer lifts if you can avoid them. If you are handy and can buy the components over time, I spent just over 650.00 some od bucks on all the components and will install myself. Not a difficult job if you are handy and safe. Again avoid the spacer lifts, you will be very sorry in the future and just re-spend that money getting something else sooner than you will need to. OME will give you somewhere around 2" lift alone. Additional spring insulators and a clevis lift will add to that. Trust everybody here OME is the best way to go, best ride and designed FOR the KJ and an arb bull bar. |

frankenlift uses OME components, and assembles it for you (the struts that is) and shipps you the parts, you send your original struts back to themas a core i think. I went on Jeepin by al and got new strut mounts, spring insulators from napa for the fron. went to a local tire store and for 15.00 each had them compress the OME hd springs and assemble the struts for me. Waiting on a floor jack to be repaired then I am installing. |

Others can chime in on getting 3 inches, but you will need OME NS131 front shocks OME n132 Rear shocks or N132L Long travel shocks if going to 3 inches i think. http://www.4by4connection.com/likjomesu.html Good price on springs and shocks http://www.ok4wd.com/index.php/catalog/product/old_man_emu_nitrocharger_shock_absorbers_yellow/ Good price on Struts, UN assembled http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214583&chapter=§ionids=19,2512&groupid=20135&subgroupid=62231&make=17&model=Liberty&year=2007&catalogid=1&displayCatalogid=0 GOOD price on strut mount http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214583&chapter=&Sectionids=19,2512&groupid=20135&subgroupid=61752&componentid=0&make=17&model=Liberty&year=2007&graphicID=T043050&callout=9&catalogid=1&displayCatalogid=0 GOOD price on stock spring insulators U will need 4 for the front, upper and lower are the same http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=214583&chapter=§ionids=24,2788&groupid=20135&subgroupid=61752&make=17&model=Liberty&year=2007&catalogid=1&displayCatalogid=0 GOOD price on Rear Spring Insulators, if you need them, 2x upper and lowers. Other places to get fatter ones for more lift. other can chime in on those. 3" and over starts to put a starin on the A arms and starts putting a strain on the wallet too. Get the front struts, HD Springs, mounts and insulators, take them someplace that has a STRONG strut compressor and sweet talk them into compressing and assembling them. read on here how to do it and announce the "Lift Party and some LOST members may come help out. The Pizza and Beer tends to get expensive..... |

no you dont have to use HD but if you ever plan on adding a bumper or winch you would want them |

Mediums or HD's, either are ok and same price. BUT If you add a bull bar you should/must have at least Med.'s Bull Bar + Winch You MUST use HD's to counter the added weight. More people can chime in but.... STAY AWAY FROM THE SPACER LIFTS ALONE They can look good but they are not a long term solution I know that sounds confusing. Spacers on STOCK springs WILL fail over time. OME Just happens to make a great product that is made for the KJ and also any application of ARB's front bumper (Or Rock Lizards, Trail Ready... for that matter) Any all steel bumper will add between 80 and 125 lbs to the front of your KJ, a winch can add up to another 80 lbs. stock springs and spacers will and do fail when subjected to this. DO NOT SKIMP. buy them all at once or in components. but do yourself a favor and AVOID the spacer lifts. Using SOME spacers in conjunction to the stronger springs has been done to increase the lift, but you get into brake line issues, A arm issues ... with out gaining that much more tire size. You will still have to pound the pinch welds for bigger tires (that is another topic, sorry for the confusion) The spacer lifts are there primarily because they were the first and early attempts at lifting KJ's (after DC lowered them). Lifts for the Liberty have evolved into some sound and trail tested products. It just so happens that ARB and Old Man Emu make the best product (so far) on the market. This time 5 years from now that may all change. (god I hope not) But for now PLEASE LISTEN TO OUR ADVICE. That is what this forum is here for. |

You will need 4 for the front, Upper and lowers for both sides. and the upper and lowers for the rear. The front ones, as far as the Original equipment is concerned, all the same part, so 4 of those. The rear, OEM have different part numbers for the upper and lower spring insulators. IF you use the N132L (long travel shocks in the rear, it has been sugested that you change out your Bump Stops (rubber thing inside the rear coils) for a longer one, All J Products (www.boulderbars.com) has Daystar extended bump stops for 25.00 a pair. confused yet? |

This thread will help you figure out what you've got. You can also email Jeep or stop by your dealer and get a build sheet that tells you all the specifics about your vehicle. |
