Take a look at this guy. I can't believe his arguments. "Makes the air swirl into a tornado, to let it move faster, just like a bathtub emptying the air swirls because that is the fastest way to move".

Yep - surely doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the earths rotation. And if swirling was just the fastest way to move, the air in our intakes would ALREADY move like that. But what does he do if we cross the equator? Would you have to install another of his genius devices to make the air swirl the other way around?

For your amusement:

I find these even more fascinating... +45 horsepower! +12 mpg! Guaranteed or your money back!

I'm going to get a couple of them, perform repeated tests with them, and then sue the company for false advertising.

If anything, it decreases both HP and MPG because it blocks up your intake

When I put mine in I think I squeeled the tires once. It gave me so much power that when you take off your pinned in the seat so hard that you can barely breath. HONEST!

I already bought one of these but had to take it back out  ....gave me so much power that you would barely touch the gas pedal and wham it would slam you back in seat so hard it pulled your foot off the gas pedal. I am thinking of trying a hand throttle so that I can control all the power better........ will keep you all advised of my progress!

I'm feeling rather foolish.

To think that I needed a Borla dual outlet exhaust, custom B&G flash, APS torque converter, Transgo reprogramming kit, Fastman throttle body, machined heads, and a Proglass hood with a 60 amp electric supercharger producing 1 psi to get that kind of increase in power when I could have just put in one of those chips.

You put in a supercharger with 1psi of boost?

Yeah, I wanted to see if an electric supercharger at wot would actually work. I was thinking about designing a 2-3 psi system. However, it takes 60 amps just to produce an extra 1 psi, so about a 5% increase in power. It's similar to a well designed ram air at 160 mph. The gains compared to power drain go down hill from there. It just assists the hood when I floor it, which actually isn't very often at all. It's probably been active less than 5 minutes in the 6 months I've had it.

Yeah, I went to their site... I couldn't justify that much money for just 1psi of boost :(

I could understand if it was 75 or 100.00 but geez, its as much as a nitrous kit.

Actually $300 for around a 5% increase is pretty cheap when you've done all the other stuff I've done. It really does work as advertised, but I have other mods that make bigger differences. Mainly just makes the hood work better. A nitrous system with everything you should have, such as gauges, warmer, remote opener, rpm window switch, fuel pressure safety, etc.. will cost a lot more than that. Also, you'll max out around a 50 hp shot. A 75 hp shot won't work correctly without having the torque management deleted. About 215 rwhp is the max we could get no matter what we did when it had the stock computer. Don't forget about the piston and ring problem either. Any use of N2O can blow the 3.7, especially with a tuning mistake.
