you dont need HD struts and shocks they are the same for a "fully loaded" KJ to an all stock KJ
what you need are HD springs
from what I understand Skyjacker does not make a "HD" spring
you want Old Man Emu HD springs
you can mix and mach struts and shocks yes

The Ranchos do a great job, I would go that route , lots of people on here run them as well

I have read at least a half dozen reports of Sky Jacker struts failing in the past. As of yet, I have not heard of anyones Rancho's failing.
Also , the Rancho rear shocks (17004) seem to fit the upper shock mount better with no slop and rattle.

The front struts are time consuming to replace and not something you want to have to do very often. Rear shocks are quick and easy to replace.

Yea, Ive heard about alot of people having troubles with the SJ shocks.

Alot of people run Rancho and few seems to have problems so its a fail-safe way to go.

One of my Skyjacker struts went after about 38,000 miles. No complaints until then. The rears are still going w/o problems, although I will be putting on the OME long travels soon.
