ok i had wires running under my weather striping in my door and water leaked in so i took up the carpet and dryed it out. i took it out and did it the right way i punched out the metal tab in my firewall... well on my way home it was raining so i pulled over to see if it was still dry well WTF IT WAS WET!!! i took apart the plastic trim to see if there was water dripping in, and it was damp around the weather stripping (on the inside side) then... i saw a drop of water come from the firewall opening. the drop looked like it may have ran down the wire and came all the way from the outside down and around into my jeep. so i drove home mad... what should i do buy new weather stripping for the doors to help and putty up around the wires to fill in the hole? or were else could it be comeing from? because i can see were rust is starting under my floor mats.

My 03 Libby Sport has weatherstripping problem in the drivers door. I get lots o' cold air on my left leg while driving, and heat loss. Also when it snows and there is lots of wind, when I open my door there is snow on my seat and floor :(

Sorry for my ignorance, but can't you guys buy new rubber gaskets for the doors to fix your problem?

I might have misunderstood you. I got an 03 and there is no problems with water or cold air entering my seating position.

A new seal may help, or try adjusting the striker plate ,and if the gap is at the top of the door wind your window all the way down and bend the window frame inwards very slightly to get a tighter fit.

Try this...alot cheaper than new w/stripping....if it works. :-)

Put a small cut in the largest part of the w/stripping near the point of leakage.
Take a smaller diameter hose, such as vacuum hose, and push it up inside the w/stripping. This will give the seal more rigidity and hopefully stop the leak.

But if it doesn't, you'll need new w/stripping.

I also ran a wire through the weather stripping and got the same problem, soaked carpet. Ive got a few wires running through the firewall and Ive never had any problems though.

Maybe you damaged the weather stripping?
