i replaced my ball joints with moogs a year and a half ago, just before the recall. now my moogs have alot of play in them. so i took it to the dealership to have the so called new and improved ball joints installed. the dealership said they wouldn't change them because they are an aftermarket part. so i called dc and told them of the problem. they told me they would have to get a dc rep to look at it and that they can't make the dealership do it if they don't want to because it is modified with a frankenlift. any suggestions. thx mark

what is replaced is irrelevant........DC is obligated to give you new ball joints if your jeep came with them...which all of ours did. I had my moogs replaced (accidentally, didn't know what moogs were)

Not true, once you replace your LBJ's with the MOOG's you are no longer covered under the recall unless the tech doesn't know the difference.

32,000 miles on my MOOG's and still tight as can be(like new),grease them every oil change(2-3 shots from my grease gun).

How often did you grease them? That could be the reason they got some play in them was the lack of grease(like the OEM LBJ's do).
