For a newbie that is...

FOR A NEWBIE, allow 5 hours or so, its very easy really takes no time to remove the front bumper, make sure you have some good bits to drill with, and some help to lift the bumper up and hold it in place while youre putting in the final bolts, I did mine myself in about 3.5 to 4 I think with drink breaks!

any questions just ask

Tom

It is not too bad at all. Just take your time and follow the instructions TO THE LETTER.

Are you installing a winch also? That needs to be in the bull bar before you install it on the KJ, and you will need some help lifting that on the front. Bull bar by itself is not too bad.

Just remeber to square and level everything on the mount befroe tightening it up all the way. I would when u get the mounting plate on and need to drill the extra holes, use a center punch, drill a small hole as a pilot and then remove the threaded plates fron the inside BEFORE drilling the larger 10mm holes. that way you dont gum up the threads on the other side.

PICS we need PICS!!!!

Also take care with your OEM bumpre, some one here might just buy it. The wiring is the most difficult part but still FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and take your time.

it took us 6 hours to install. it was really cold up north, so that may have delayed the install a bit.

When I purchased mine used, the foglight and turn signal wires were all messed up from the previous Un-install.

I got new turn signals from ARB and also got some Packard water tight connectors, similar to the ones used on your turn signal connections now but not the same. I re-wired the new connectors and neatened everything up so mine took a bit longer than it should have, but I think mine took me around 4 or 5 hours. I was also working with parts from hardware stores for the bolts that didn't come with the bull bar.

Like I said just follow the instructions to the letter, you will do fine.

IF you are capable and not afraid of doing this I would address the electrical connectors in a similar way that I did in that the ARB connectors they supply (the 3m splice locks) are not water tight and can be an issue, especially if you are in a road salt enviorment.
