Ok. My brother and I are sitting here trying to figure out how these lifts work, so eventually we can install one. We have compared several (Frankenlift, Daystar, Rough Country). Here is where we are confused. With the RC lift the kit includes rear shocks & coils, front struts with spacers, and rear bump stops. How can you lift the front without a puck or a taller coil as well? Where does the 3" lift come from in the front? Second kit is the Daystar. It has 4 pucks, front strut spacers, and rear bump stops. Would this kit not require you to buy a longer shock? From what we can tell the only lift kit that comes complete is the Frankenlift. Is this correct? I would love to install the Frankenlift, but the lady and I have to spread the funds around this "stocker" and only have about a grand to do it. Any help you can provide would be great. Just joined not to long ago, and have already met up once with the Rockies group. Had a blast and got some great ideas. Prolly shouldn't have been on the trail with them in our KJ though. Got a few character marks on it. Thanks |

I think that it's better to do things right the first time than to take two times to do it right. I wish I had done the Frankenlift right from the beginning. IMHO, the essential things you would want are: skid plates, lift, and boulder bars. If you're careful, and have lift, you might not need boulder bars depending on where you go. I didn't need boulder bars when I went to Big Bear (but I didn't do John Bull |

Rusty coil lift, 2 struts, 2 shocks and 4 spring coils for a great price. Will not stress ball joints and fits 31" tires. |

I think Rusty's is the best one I have seen yet. Not a bad price either. Are the puck lifts crap? I'm assuming so for the price. |

The "BEST" one is the Frankenlift (of course I'm a little biased since I own it). Seriously though, you just can't beat the flex this thing gives you and it is taller than Rusty's. If you want the best offroad performance get the Frankenlift. Rusty's is probably the best bang for your buck. Great on road manners and pretty darn good offroad for only $450. It just depends what your priorities are. If $$$ is not a concern get the Frankenlift (or do a SFA swap if you really have $$$ burning a hole in your pocket). |

Most of the people purchase this lift for those reasons. I went with the skyjacker and have not had any issues with this lift. You do not have to get longer shocks to lift your KJ, but you will limit the ammount of flex you have without them. If you want a major ammount of flex and still keep your stock shocks then get some shock relocation brackets (Warrior parts #WAR101) and move the bottom of your shock up. |

Unfortunetly going "bang for buck" here. Seems to get decent reviews though. I dont see us going to crazy on the trails, going to buck up on the armor, put a decent lift on and tires. Definetly getting excited. It's going to be our Xmas gifts... although I think it works out in my favor P.S. Has anyone read any reviews about the chips for horsepower and mpg and the throttle body spacer? I'm skeptical and curious. |

Well, if you want a lift, I will have one laying in the garage after friday... look and throw out an offer... Well used, but you saw it work, all you would need to provide would be rear shocks, then again, I think I have a pair of doecsh tech shocks from rusty's in the garage too... If you do not have to work Friday, you could come south and see how the front of a KJ comes apart and back together as I finally remove the homebrew lift and upgrade to the frankenlift front. |
