Q - After cutting off the plastic and pounding the pinch weld flat, what is everyone doing to cover the hole?

What is a pinch weld? What does this do?

You should've read the posts on here first. Mine is covered by the plastic fender flap that I cut. I plastic welded/soldered/melted it in place. When I cut it, I just went straight up on both sides to make a flap.

This is all moot for you, now. I think everyone left it like it is, uncovered.
