The new strut assemblies were installed on my Liberty and tested today ride is like my prototype was and/or maybe softer. Those that got lift kits should be getting replacement parts which will remedy the problem. Looking forward to reviews from Rock Lizard and Tokyojoe!
Joe
P.S. My front was a tad shy of 4" this new kit strut assy brought me up an additional 1/2".

so is the softer ride "better" than what you had before or did you like the way you had it? And what did you do with your old lift, selling it??

Post subject:  Revision to strut mount

I made a new strut tower mount with 5 spring settings. (4 spacer rings can go between the spring and strut mount.)

Setting
1. 4” lift base line 22.50 inches from center line of axle to under side of fender flare
2. 1 ring = 176.7 lbs of force over base
3. 2 rings = 353.4 lbs of force over base (CRD)
4. 3 rings = 530.1 lbs of force over base
5. 4 rings = 706.8 lbs of force over base

Examples:
- If you have skid plates and a ARB bumper, you would use the #2 setting on the tower
- If you have a CRD, you would use the #3 setting on the tower
- If you have a CRD, Skid plates and a ARB you would use #4

This system gives you the owner the ability to customize your ride height, compensating for the extra weight you added to the front of your KJ.

I am in need of a CRD to test and prove how this new strut system works. If you or someone you know would like to test this on your KJ, Please call or email me for details. marlin.gehman@jeepinbyal.com

Will there be a choice of more than one coil spring rate used in conjunction with the adjustable spacer concept :?:

I will be getting a lift installed May/June. If the JBA’s 4” proves to be a highway worthy lift (smooth ride, no sway, suitable for towing) than I might go with it. I was thinking about the Frankenlift Premium II, however the JBA’s lift is starting to get interesting. I’m hoping between now and the early summer, someone running this lift can log some serious highway miles to see how it rides, tows, and handles. I really do not question JBA’s off-road capabilities as Al’s upper arms and the 3/8" cut off the front face of the CV joints should take care of any off-road issues. I appreciate Joe and all those involved for making this kit turn into a reality.
