I have not yet put a lift on my jeep (i am going to put a 2" on soon, but have not gotten the money yet) but it really needs tires. I was planning on putting Firestone Destination AT 245/65-17 on it. That way I have the larger tires on it for when I do the lift. Aside from that I cannot find any decent AT tires in 235's. Does anyone have any ideas, could I go larger without a lift? Has anyone else used the Destination's?

145 or 245? I am running 245/70 16s on my unlifted '07 Sport with minimal rubbing issues.

Firestone destination at's are very good tires . You'll find good reviews on here if you do a search..And guess what they come in 235's 16 or 17 inch wheels.

I have Cooper ATR Discoverer Tires on my un-lifted Libby. They work fine. There is an occasional rub at the most extreme turn. These are the biggest tires you can put on stock rims with clearance. There are other ways around this - wheel spacers (which many people advise against) and lifts of various kinds which are a hot topic on this forum. I have had only great use out of the Coopers. Many people swear by other brands, especially BFGoodrich. But, be sure to get the stock Wrangler tires off ASAP - they are terrible in anything but dry pavement conditions.

You can fit a tire that is just under 30",,,about 29.8" on a non lifted KJ.

I had 245/65R17 Destination AT's on '05 17X7.5" rims for 2 years on my pre-lowered '02. They were really good tires for the money. I wouldn't recommend them for hard trail use, but they'll get you through the majority of what most people see.

I'm running 235/70SR16 Firestone Destination A/T and so far like them alot. Haven't done any major off roading, just out in some deep, sand/clay mud on a few construction sites when I need to go out to check on the job and they work great.

I have 17's

245 65 17, my tires suck in the snow(yokohoma's).

I'd recommend looking for some 16" rims, if you plan on doing any off-roading, that way you have more sidewall flex.
