| Post subject: | front axle hub nut size? |
I'm changing out my steering gear this weekend(changing it b/c I bought the jeep wrecked and the steering gear is bent). The manual says to take off the front axles. I'm going to try to get around that if possible, but if not, I'm needing to know what size socket I need to get the front axle hub nut off. I'm guessing it's bigger than any socket I have(I think the biggest I have is a 24mm). I would like to get a socket for it before I start tearing everything apart. |

make sure you get a deep one, check any auto parts store. the will have them there with all the other axle nut sockets. got mine from pepboys, 1/2" drive. $14. |
