Back again looking for help... I can't afford to do everything I'd like to do all at once, but the lift is not far out and I really would like to mount a front receiver hitch at the same time. My ride is a 2005 Limited CRD. Has anyone out there put one on one of these and if so where did you pick it up? I have no problems cutting a hole for it to protrude thru! Thanks. |

You'll have to get it second-hand. They stopped making the KJ front receiver. They pop up in the Parts & Vehicles For Sale by Members of L.O.S.T. section every once in a while. |

All the receivers fit all the 2002-2007 rigs, only the plastic was changed. I have a receiver on my 2005 CRD. Like they said real easy to do. |

Thanks for all the replies! I really like the detours backbone system, It gives a rock solid mount for a winch and leaves the license plate bracket intact. Here in Maine the front plate is law... It also gives the winch a home. My KJ is already cramped for storage. I have made a shelf that I carpeted behind the rear seat and I plan to add a roof basket soon as well. I am working on two steps that will insert into the ends of the hitch tube where it mounts to the unibody. They will aid in reaching the roof rack. I will post pictures at some point. Thanks again everyone. Mike |
