Is anyone out there using front OME CRD 790's on a gaser with an ARB bumper and winch combo, with full armor?

Also, does the CRD Fankinlift front come preassembled with the poly spring spacer and Daystar strut plate, or is it CRD springs only?

Thanks,
Nick

The 500lbs OME don't get the poly spacer, just coils.I do believe you can get them pre-assembled but with a core charge(for the upper strut plates).

It would be one stiff ride with those 500lbs springs, zero flex on a gasser, even a heavy gasser. My soils are rated at about 425lbs(pre-softride SkyJacker coils) and they are really stiff even with my ARB/winch combo and I'm tipping the scales at 5500lbs+(my KJ that is).

I contacted Heather last year and she stated; they had done some on heavy gasers and were working fine..... I'm just trying to find out who had it done, and what their experience was with them.

Well, I took the plunge today and ordered a pair of 790's, a pair of 948's, and a pair of BDS strut pates and hardware, along with a set of Al's upper A-arms. I will be adding the 3/8" strut spacer from my RRO combo kit for additional height like the Rockfather kit does. Total cost: $820.23 shipped.

My front set up with the stock CRD 410 lb. rate coils and the RRO combo kit looked great the first day I took it off the jackstands. It measured 37 1/4" from the ground to the bottom of the flare. On the 2 nd. day, it measured 36", by the next week it measured 35 1/2" and is currently down to 34 3/4", and that's on 32" tires mind you.

Not to mention, after adding the extended bump stops, I'm hitting on them just going down rough city streets and the Spyder Trax spacers I installed last week are causing the tires to rub where the pinch weld was.
The front end has to go up, and stay up :!:

Considering All J's had no luck using the OME H.D. 400 lb. rate coils for the stock CRD's when they first came out, I really don't think the 500 lb. coils will be all that bad for the heavy gaser. At least I hope not, and I'm 99.9% sure it's not gonna sag this time!

OEM coils just must suck.I just went a measured my KJ as you did and I'm at 37" in the front and 36 1/2" in the rear,I have 43,000 miles on my SkyJacker coils,32" tires also, and hitting the scales at 5500lbs(ARB bumber with WARN XP9500 winch/syn rope). But granted right now my skids are all off so I'll drop about 3/4" when I bolt them back on.
