Made the move from the Generation 2 "A" arms to the New Generation 5 "A" arms. http://jeepinbyal.com/default.aspx I had a bit of bump steer for whatever reason and it is now virtually eliminated! I plan on putting on 33" Tires soon and I think this should help. Joe |

Thanks for the tip! I'm told they're the same as in a Chevy 1/2 ton pick-up? Joe |

That makes sense, the HMMWV is made by AMC General which is basicly GM. But commenting on the arms... looking lovely! I plan on the 4" and putting 285/75r16's on here in a few months. Let us know how they work! |

He cleared his old stock of Gen. 4's out on us. Yeah, I trimed out that front pocket on each side about 3/8" down, to the inside of the rail so it won't hit at full droop. The rear looked OK. |

I have the 450# springs in my strut assy's and don't have any issues? I don't want the 350#'s because I'm planning on going 6" once it's released. The long arms for the rear are only needed for the 6" or higher lifts but I guess you could get them for the 4"? Joe |

Grinding out the pockets is a good idea no matter what arms are in if your going to wheel it. I don't know why Jeep didn't look at that and that stupid pinch weld we all had to contend with! Joe |

You have the 450 lb springs? What height did you get with it? What are you reading from the center of the wheel center cap to the bottom edge of your flare? When we tried to install the revised strut assembly in mine, we could not get it installed. Everything was maxxed out and no way of getting the clevis on. |

Joe - let me know how the tires fit, I plan on doing some fender work (pinch welds) 285/75's look awesome, I think it might be a mental thing but they look a lot better than the 275's to 265's do. |

Your going to need at least 5"+ to even fit 285/75's(33") tires, good luck.Hope you don't wheel it very hard, and you'll be sucking wind even with the 4.10's,you'd need a 4.56's to turn those suckers and have any power.

| Post subject: | 33's |
I had 33's on my Wrangler with 4:10's and didn't have a problem? I do agree with the 5" or more lift and probably removing the liners up front and relocating the windshield washer may have to happen all things I'm figuring on having to do to have 33's. I had 32" tires on before and just made it with my 4" lift. Joe |
