Pretty quick delivery - but UPS destroyed the box (and chipped the powdercoat Anyone know what bolt size/thread/pitch/length I need to install the skid (and hitch)? The skid plate is well made and pretty beefy and over 70 pounds. All 3/16" plate steel... |

I take it you don't have a rear hitch? If you have the rear tow hook it will need to come off if I remember right. The bolts needed are M12x1.75 bolts that are 40mm long and a metric hardness of 10.9. |

I knew I could count on someone here for a quick reply! I figured they were M12 - just didn't know the pitch (1.75). I have a hitch I bought from LOST member Ratmloud a while a go that I'll be installing at the same time. I guess I'll have to remove the factory rear tow hook. If anyone needs one PM me. |

Just incase you didnt know, the hitch and the skid use the same bolts. If that hitch came with bolts then youve already got them. |

Checkout this link to some Mopar skidplate installation instructions. The Rusty's skidplate can't be that much different from the Mopar one. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=10813&highlight=roof+rack |

It is built like a tank!!!! I came down on it hard at Tellico last October. It scratched the paint on the left rear side and dented the corner. The factory Mopar skid would have been toast if I had it instead -- would have dented into the gas tank I am sure. The only other positive/negative I have is that it is not as 'form-fitting' as some other fuel skids for the KJ (it looks a little wider and deeper than some) and I wonder if I will have probs when I change the diff cover for the 8.25. |
