I was wondering where I could get information on engine cradle interchangability with an 02 liberty.
I currently had my exsiting cradle replaced with one from an 05 liberty. I dont think it is interchangable, due to my tires rubbing. Thanks, Denton

Yeah I know sorry. I just am trying to get this resolved.
When this is all said and done, I think I am going to do a huge write up about how many things went wrong and to help future KJ owners know what to look for if they get in the situation I am in.

They should be close to the same(tjkj says they are different though). What size tires are you running and where are they rubbing? Have you had it aligned after getting the new cradle? Did they get the alignment in specs?

They are rubbing on the front inner fender liner near the front of the tire

theres the snafu...stockers are so small they they should never ever rub. 245/70/16s on my unlifted stock suspension KJ don't even come close to rubbing. something is out of whack for sure.

Dealership said they called the scrap yards and the 05 are interchangable...
Hmmm....
Well I had it realinged yesterday, turns out the previous shops machine was not calibrated (does not suprise me one bit at this point). However even aligned correctly, the rubbing is gone, but when the tires are fully turned in reverse the tires are so close to the front liner, you cant even stick a credit card on its flat side between the two. Should it be that close to rubbing?

see the my prior post...even with going a full half inch plus larger in size (again no lift all stock suspension) I am no where near rubbing...with your stock size tires...you should have tons of room. I have lots of room still. my tires are 29.7" and a full half inch wider than stocks....your stocks are only 29" and narrower. For reference, the dealership (I know I know) told me that KJ can go up to but not over a 30" tire without lift or rub. 29.9" is probably pushing it. again, all depends on how wide you go, etc. but I'm still talking stock setup.
