As looking front the front to the back it goes----Front skid, tranny skid,t-case skid, and then the gas tank skid.
Front skid-----Protects the front diff and the front part of the engine Tranny skid-----Protects the back half of the engine oil pan and the tranny T-case skid-----Protects the t-case Gas tank skid-----Protects the gas tank People throw in names like the engine skid which does not exsist for a KJ,the front skid and the tranny skid both are used to protect the engine oil pan, along with the front diff and tranny. |

For some reason, 03s didn't have a tranny skid with the skid package (off road package). There was no option for it, either. If you have the OE skid package on your 03, then you should be able to crawl under the KJ and see the tranny exposed. I went with All-Js super skid for the tranny, but they aren't selling them anymore. I know some owners were adapting tranny skids from 04s for their 03s, but I can't remember what all needed to be done, I think just drilling a corner hole or some such. |

yea u need to drill a hole in the cross member by the tranny and watch for the tranny mount when drilling holes I have the 05 and up skid on an 02 libby and to fit the tranny and transfer case skid I needed to drill two holes in total in the cross member that holds the tranny mount, and my transfer case skid and tranny skid only uses three of the four holes. But on the hoist I can hang off the skids with my body weight and they don't move one bit. Hope this helps |
