Post subject:  Renny light bar installed, what about the dash indicator?

Well I finally got a nice/rare sunny weekend in Seattle and installed the Renegade light bar (in 5+ hrs...).
Would like to use the dash' indicator, and found somewhere that I should connect pin 19 of the BCM's 26pins connector, but only found 3 monster 38pins ones behind the fuse box

Anyone successful in making that dash indicator works?

Here's blacksmoke now

I wish my dash indicator worked as well. I just installed the included LED to the left of the switch, instead of the recommended installation location in front of the instrument cluster.

I supposed it could be done by directly wiring it to the bulb/LEd behind the indicator. I doubt that would be easy to get to though.

I used the LED light too. I did not bothered to wire into the pin set

Well you are a bit off the thread's topic, but I'll take this as a bump
Search for site for Renegade bar installation and you'll find the pointer for the original PDF document; you'll need this for the exact placement. I didn't have any wires either so I went to Radio Shack for 10 gauge wires, relay, fuse (both rated 30A) and a simple black switch. Go online and buy a nutzerts/threaded nut tool (bought mine at hot rod auto supply) to secure the bar on the roof. You'll find that drilling and installing those nuts is not that bad.

Run the 10 gauge wires from the roof thru the A pillar down to the firewall and up to the battery area. Following the PDF as a general guideline is a good way to do it. I just installed the fuse and relay directly off the main fuse box in front of the battery, connected one side of the relay to the parking + and run the ground line back into the dash. That way I need to have the parking light on to fire the light bar.

Took me about 5hrs with all the thinking around, but it's worth the effort!

Non of the wireing was in my KJ. I had to run the whole thing. I bought my lightbar complete off ebay.

It took me roughly 4 hours to complete the install. I tacked welded my nutzerts inplace after using the tool that took me 2 hours to figure out.

Yea, drilling the holes are not that bad after you do the 1st one.
