We have the pieces, the rear should be easy, front is dangerous, difficult?
The confidence of no experience. OME 790's, 948's, SN131's, Rancho RSX 17004's
I think we can do the rear springs, shocks and bumpstop with a steep grade, wrenches and elbow grease.
We do not have a spring compressor, maybe can rent one.
The front with the compressed spring will be handled professionally.
Any expert advise?

since you have the OME HD for the CRD I would highly recommend taking your stock struts in and have them professionally change the coils out, I have the OME gas HD and it took me 2 sets of compressors and there is 100# difference and it shouldnt cost more than $50 and itll make it alot quicker

Rear is no problem at all, jack up the rear and put jack stands under the frame to let the rear axle drop down
remove the tire, shock , stock spring will pull right out , to install new one put the stock jack in between the frame and the rotor, spread apart and install new spring, can be done by yourself in a few minutes

Front... yes have the springs compressed at a shop, install on the front is fairly easy , takes more time taking out the battery, air box etc. than anything else

Tom, on the rear coil install: do you need to losen brake line or bracket? (Added the ext bracket to lift kit) Also, will a right angle pneumatic drill and step bit help with drilling bumpstop bolt holes or 1/2' electric drill? Centerpunch?

yes on the brake line just saw you have the 07 so you need to put the extension on,
right angle drill works great and you dont need a step bit any will work, you maybe able to get a regular drill in there depends on how big it is and how long the drill bit is.
As far as the spring compressors I would take the fronts to a local shop and the rears you don't need them so you do not have to buy any. My local shop has a time with the HDs so I can only imagine how the CRDs are

We started about 9 this morning took off the front struts and I took them to a spring shop, H. J. Smith's of Waterville, ME.
They changed the mounting brackets over for $20.00. He said they were truck springs, was not sure he could do it, they were so stiff, but John did a great job.
It took him about 15 minutes to put the OME springs and shocks on the Jeep mounting brackets.
And yes the hardest part was the removal of the battery and air box to get at the bolts.
It took about 3 hours to get back to work. So we got it all done in about 5 total hours of work.
My almost 16 year old son Rasmus was a great help. Could not have done it without him.
The left side brake hose is a little tight but not too bad. Ranchos in the back go well with the OME springs, picked up 2 hockey pucks for $2.00 for use with construction adhesive to secure them.
Thanks for the advise guys, great help.
Would not have purchased this Jeep without all your help, thanks.

Suncoast T/C and shift kit due next week.
"She Who Must Be Obeyed," my better half is taking serious notice of this project, glad it is almost done.
