| Post subject: | Groan when turning |
I have a question since I am moderatly steering illiterate. When I turn I get a horrible groan, it only happens when I turn. It does not do it all the time either. I can't seem to figure it out. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing it. I do have a lift but it did it before the lift and really has not gotten any worse after I installed it. Thanks ahead of time for any input. |

Check rear diff fluid. Have you had it serviced recently? Mine had incorrect ratio of modifier put in. Every time I turned it groaned. Basically it was the clutches in the diff chattering. |

I had that happen once, I was a little low, I decided to change it instead of re-fill it. I found a new job for an old turkey baster. Takes a little time but gets out the old & fill up with new. |

Does it happen at the same spot on the road or do you notice this noise on different road types? The steering will groan when the rack is at full lock in either direction (where you can't turn the wheel anymore) The tires will groan if they are low on air. Like really low It could be lots of things. |
