Want to change the F and R diff fluids. The Libby is @ 33K miles.

I change my own oil and installed my own lift with no problems...Is this going to be pretty simple ?

Any suggestions??

Rear, not so simple... or at least - it's messy the first time through. You'll need to remove the rear cover on the diff and let the oil splash out into a bucket.

The front - has a drain plug. It couldn't be any easier than the oil. Just make sure you pull the fill plug before the drain plug. There's nothing worse than draining the oil only to find out you can't fill it back up.

 YEEEEAAaaah. That sucks! I've learned that I should also loosen the oil filter first, then check the drain plug when changing my engine oil.

Loosen all the bolts, put your catch pan under it, and gently pry the bottom of the cover away from the housing. it won't be messy, it'll just be a BIG pour:P

For the front:
Remove skid (if you have one). Remove fill plug. Remove drain plug. Replace drain plug. Fill diff. Replace fill plug. Put skid back on.

For the rear:
Remove all bolts except the top one. Remove cover (will need a flathead screwdriver). Let drain. Remove the last bolt. Scrap off old RTV on both the housing and cover. Clean inside with brake cleaner. Apply new RTV to cover. Bolt cover to housing. Wait 45-1hr. Fill housing. A pump really helps make the job easier.
