I found this photo on the net and I've been trying to find some more info on it. I already have a sick Discovery for crawling and serious off-roading so the goal with the CRD is built a nice destination vehicle that get's great mileage and can take us to remote camping/hiking/climbing sites. I want to keep weight and wind drag down to a minimum so things like a winch bumper and roof rack are not on my list. I don't intend to do any crazy wheeling with it but I still want to fit a winch to the front for emergencies, etc... The idea of using the front stock bumper and building a basket is a perfect one for me and my needs. If anyone can provide any more info that would be sweet. Scroll down almost to the bottom and you'll see it. Has a snorkel on it as well. It looks like he used a factory brush guard and built a winch bucket into it. My only concern would be that it's not near strong enough.... http://www.rocky-road.com/kjsus.html Any suggestions? |

who knows that the only pic of it Ive ever seen, and if your wanting to get a winch without buying anew bumper you should check into Detours, they have a system fot the KJ so you can use your stock bumper and still have a winch |

It is a guy in Mexico or South America IIRC. I don't believe he has ever found his way to this site. |

I like how he moved the radio antenna to the drivers side to make room for the snorkel. |
