I used to have a Renny style basket which scraped the paint a bit off the top, was just wondering what would bedliner spray on stuff look like. Probably be a pain to wash though but it would be durable and help insulate as well as sound proof the cabin.....................ok I'm just kidding about the insulating and sound proofing LOL. |

Interesting...my Renegade basket sits a half inch off of the paint all around. Where did it scrach the paint off? |

I have, used Morton spray-on bedliner, due to hail damage and I didn't want to replace the roof skin.Older pic of my KJ is below to geve you a good veiw of the roof,it's easy to clean also,UV protected(still looks like new after 6 years),and actually helps keep the interior cooler in the hot sun.

I have rolled on some bedliner I bought. I don't know the name of it. It works great so far. I was always damaging my roof when I'd load stuff into my roof rack, dropping shovel/gas can/axe among other various items and it was scratching and denting it pretty good so I thought it'd help solve that. And it has. Doesn't chip unless you try to chip it and doesn't appear to fade or anything either. I don't have any pics though. |

I used the spray can duplicolor liner and it sticks to the plastic (fender flare) pretty well considering I hadn't preped the surface at all. However, it does tend to flake off and fade a little elsewhere (on the rear bumper for instance). Probably wouldn't use it on large surface area like the roof though. |

I wonder if there is some sort of paint you can spray over it to help with the fading |

I know with mine you can't even come close to taking it off with your fingernail. I can barely scrape it off with a screwdriver and there are only two thin coats on my wheel center caps. The stuff is awesome. Like I mentioned I have it on my rock rails and there is a nice gouge on the rail where I hit a rock and the bedliner isn't peeling at all. I'll get some pics of all the stuff I sprayed and rolled it on. |

I use the same brand as Inc (Plasticote). Even the huge boulder that bit my rear door panel in Moab didn't take off the bedliner. |

Much appreciated, I guess I wasn't that far off with the idea. Well, I bought two spray cans and did my roof rails and that's all. My brother saw it and liked it and bought a gallon tub. I used his tub to do everything else on my jeep. |
