| Post subject: | Painting Aluminum!? |
I want to paint some aluminum, but I am not sure if there is a paint out there that will bond well enough. Does anybody have experience with painting aluminum, or has ever tried it. Any and all advice will help. |

You need to get the correct primer that will etch into the aluminum. |

POR-15 after using their Metal Prep for NON steel metals. Not sure of the name but they can direct you. Do a search on the web for POR15 and call them. |

This stuff is hard to work with as it needs to cure and is thick and drippy but it does bond well to aluminum. It's pretty impervious to solvents too. Just follow the directions to the letter.
