Post subject:  RR strut plate with Rusty's .75" poly spacer

I forgot...who runs this setup? I was thinking of adding the .75" poly spacers and an addtl set of rear iso's to the stock ones on the back but im wondering if this might make anything unstable (i doubt it because to non-kj enthusiasts it doesn't even look 'lifted' ..so im told.) Anyway, any thoughts?

If you are running aftermarket springs, you will need daystar upper strut mount, jba sells them. Basically would make it a frankenlift. You will need jba upper control arms.

EDIT: wouldn't be a good idea to keep the strut plates. You can do a clevis lift.

Why are you wanting to go that direction? Don't think you will gain much at all for the trouble

I think the member with the jeepzilla lift in his sig runs a similar set up. In another thread he says he's getting noise from somewhere and wouldn't reveal his exact set up to me. I would just add a clevis lift and the top strut plate that rusty's sells. It would be alot easier and would gain more height than that poly spacer.

the guys that threw on the lift never heard of a clevis lift tho! actually...everyone i have mentioned it to has never heard of it before...isn't that strange? Anyone have a link to that thread that shows how to do one? Maybe I can show these guys how to do it   without bruising their ego, of course...

You need to hang around with a bunch of people that know what they are doing then!   Most people who only deal with Wranglers etc would of never heard of it cause they dont use it as a way to raise the front.
Basically unbolt the bottom of the clevis, will have to loosen the top strut plate as well. unbolt the clevis from the strut and pull it down about 3/8 of an inch or so. Lots of people use the conduit nuts as a way to make sure that you have an equal distance on both sides, use two or three on each side. Tighten everything to spec, reinstall and then you will be HIGHER!! Now go get another alignment as well.
You already have the upper strut plates dont you?

You should gain 1.5" of lift with the rusty's poly spacer.
