idk if possible buty to drill out i couple little holes in the rock rails and wire up some led's inside to act as just some illumination for night rides or just hanging out need more light??

That would help rust out the rails faster by holding in mud and water. Not to mention you'd need to use very small LED's and they don't put out that much light.Just use some $10 driving lights(found at Wallmart) and mount under your KJ for night wheeling,or you can get the rock lights made for it and are stronger but cost alot of $$$.

what is the concensus on rock lighting in general?? not necessarily in the rock rails, but ive been looking at mounting some
cheap $10 ones like tjkj said in the undercarrage. I think these would be a cool/cheap mod, but wonder if i offroad at night
enough to justify them.? Do u guys "night jeep" alot in summertime?? Are these usefull, or is conventional lighting enough??
where would be the optim place to mount them and how many?? whats everyone's opinion... thanks

My buddy has some on his TJ. Nice and bright tiny LEDs. Work great if you need to fix something at night too.

Do you guys have a link for the "rock lights?" I'm not saying I would go out and buy them anytime soon, but I kinda like the idea. Might save a cat or dog from getting run over by checking to see if the coast is clear before moving the vehicle.

try roundeyes.com I think it is they have some great rock lights.
On my old XJ I just used regular LED lights from a truck stop, ( 4 per side) only time I really used them though was to impress the ladies after leaving the bar late at night, would light up under and around it real well, that way they could see where they were stepping

oldtimer thing used to buy a lot form Mooneyes, so thats stuck on the brain first, now they come up with roundeyes  But the place with the lights is roundeyes. Also a guy in Micigan is coming up with some lights as well. He posted in the Fab section regarding bumpers for the KJ. Been talking to him quite a bit so hes suppose to have something soon
