I just bought this 05 CRD, 4x4 Liberty. Every time you turn a corner the front end "POPS" like the ball joints are coming out! The noise is driving me mad. I read the posts on "discos" making noise but I still have the OEM sway bar links. I could no longer take the popping noise so I had the sway bar links removed. Quiet as a mouse but I do feel a little body roll. Can't I have the best of both worlds? Quiet & Stable? What do I need to buy or modify to resolve this problem? I'm new to this and appreciate the help from all you off roading vets. |

The most likely culprit was the bolts on the links not being tightened down properly. I had this happen after I installed my daystar lift and it took me a bit to figure it out - got underneath and checked all the bolts, found that I had not tightened a couple (or they had worked loose). Re-torqued every bolt I could find and haven't had any noise out of them since. Just make sure that when you re-install the swaybar that your Jeep is on level ground and it should be a breeze. |

Yep, this is correct. I've had mine work loose a couple times. Once right after I installed the lift, and once after about a 10" jump. |

The upper should be torqued down to 100 ft-lbs and lowers should be 85 ft-lbs. |
