We recently bought a daystart 2.5" lift for our 03 Limited. We mainly bought it for looks and a little higher ride. (We have a 95 YJ that we use for trails and offroad.) Do we need to replace the shocks and struts with this lift? If so, what brand is recommended?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes you do, either OME or Rancho, the Ranchos are RSX 17505 front and RSX 17004 Rear, going Rancho will save you a little compared to OME and are still very good quailty

I think the stockers will physically fit - but they were bad from the factory and only used to hold the wheels on......

Try Ranchos from - All-J's - your Jeep will appreciate you

You will need new rear shocks, the OEM ones are to short. You can run them but the ride will be horrible and they will get trashed real fast.

Second or third on using the Ranchos, will give you great service, remove the fronts and just take them somewhere to have them pressed on and off, easy to do and while you are waitng you can do the rear in 30 minutes VERY easy to do. Whole lift should be a 180 minute job, if you don't have to fight with compressing the coils etc. Even at that will be an easy afternoon spening time with your KJ

Thank you all for your responses. I'm going to go with the Rancho's. If anyone knows where to get the best price on them, please let me know.

Thanks again for everyone's help. You all are great!

best bet is to check around local shops like napa or carquest? not sure if those are in your area but just spend some time around town checking prices or call them all and see what they can do for you. I think i wound up around 200-250 for all four of my shocks.
