The "Part Time" 4wd light on my Liberty is stuck on. The transfer case is still in 2wd. Oddly enough, if I push down on the x-fer case handle, the light will go out, but when I release it, the light comes back on.

Anybody else have this problem?

I'm fairly confident that this is a sensor issue, but thought I'd ask the rest of you all before I dig into it.

Thanks,
Nick

Sweeeeeeet. Thanks man.

One follow-up question. was it covered under your standard warranty, or the drive train warranty? My jeep's got 56k miles. If it's not going to be covered under the drive train warranty, I'll replace the sensor myself.

I will not be covered under your powertrain warrenty, that sensor is not a internal lubercated part. The sensor is not that pricey($50-$75) and takes about 5 min to replace.

Man, you guys are good... this tech assistance is pretty impressive.

Is the sensor on the t-case (right above where the shifter cable connects), or is it under the center console?

99% positive it's on top of the T-Case

It's the only place on the t-case that has wires leading to it.
