Cheaper CO2 set-up

Over on the Colorado4x4 board Formatt Fab is offering a cheaper CO2 set-up at a great price,comes with a tank(10 or 20lbs),regulator,and hold down.

--10lbs set-up is $210 +S&H
--20lbs set-up is $250+S&H

Guys if you want OBA get this set up
worth EVERY dime
air up tires and run ANY air tool you want ,cut off tools work great for cutting off the "bling tail pipe" when it get smashed on the first down hill
not that I have done it
also 1/2" impact can take a shock off a CJ faster than the entire group can gather up to see what happened
should some one bend a shock some how

Just trying to support a local vender here in CO,Matt(the owner) is a very good guy.I have wheeled with him once,he has a killer TJ.

You still have to pay shipping and tax with the complete set. Not sure how much of a difference it would be.

You still have to buy hoses and fittings for both.

Could be tax free to buy the separate parts. Definitely paying tax (for me) on the complete setup since it looks like he is in Colorado.

you need to be careful when buying these kinds of regulators
they are not made for high flow and will freeze up quick

I'm going to try to talk the wife into letting me make the purchase. :wink:

Keep in mind that I have already purchased the Frankenlift II Premium, Al’s upper A-arms, and all four skids in the past 30 days. :shock:

And now I’m asking to drop another $250 bones for a nice C02 tank. :shock:

Maybe since today is Easter, she will be more willing to welcome the idea with open arms…………………………

I personally like the CO2 set-up,can be used anywhere and no battery power needed.Can run air tools(most OBA systems can't,or not very good),reseat blown tire beads,and is highly portable.Sure you have to fill it up every now and agian,most places charge $10-$20 to fill a 10lbs bottle.I get about 10-12 trips out of my 10lbs tank,filling my four 265's from about 15psi to 42 psi.

Well, I just made the purchase today.

I now have the 20lb tank coming my way. Formatt Fabrications seems like a good place to do business. The extra air will be great for running power tools and to carry along when I pull my gooseneck trailer or travel trailer. And of course, it will be nice to use out on the trail! Okay, UPS dropped the beast off last week. Here’s my next question: Where is the best place to buy a coil hose and air chuck? And what length of coil hose do you recommend?

You want about a twenty foot, that way you pretty much reach everything around your vehicle plus reach others who are just waiting to use your air! :lol:

Well, I guess that's one benefit of having a 20lb bottle, I can definitely share the air. Any recommendations on where to buy the hose and chuck - Home Depot maybe?
