I'd like to hear from those who have removed the front fender liners. Is it worth the effort if I'm not going to pound down the pinch welds? What is the clearance between the fender liner and the pinch welds.

Also, are there any problems with the two lines clipped to the fender liners? Do they just hang safely? Or are most people zip-tying them up somewhere? If so...where?

And, lastly, what's the easiest way to remove the little plastic clips holding the liners in place? Drill them out? Or do they pop out easier than that?

Thanks in advance for any all opinions and options.

You don't gain much clearance over the pinch weld. Once you see it after taking the liner out, you'll want to pound it flat. I don't have anything holding any of the wires and they don't come anywhere close to the tires. As for removal, I can't really help much there... I found that 25mph and about 6" of water worked pretty quickly, though.

HA! :-)r I might have to try that this weekend while we're on the Outer Banks. Thanks for the info.
