Run from that company. They have put some products out that have ruined vehicles, they stand behind nothing, and they really don't deserve to be supported. But hey, that is just one guy's opinion. |

+2 on avoidance. Go look up the Rock Krawler 7-up lift for more info. I am not sure if the two people that had them are still here but they could tell you all the war stories they had with that company. |

their page says it all (note them acknowledging that their lift will "trash"your KJ) System Benefits: 1) Complete bolt in system. 2) Allows for 31" x 10.5" tires with little to no fender modifications (rim offset dependent on wheel well mods). 3) Factory like ride quality. 4) Improved off-road ability. 5) Vehicle is easily returned to stock which makes it perfect for lease units. Go ahead and trash the KJ and turn it back in when your lease is up! |

| Post subject: | This is a great lift! |
I have had mine over 6 months now and its wonderful, just a bunch on fanboys on here that only want you to run what they have. I've done some mild off roading and its holding up great. If you plan on doing hardcore riding than I would go with a full coil lift. Chris PS I have some pics of the lift installed if you want to see them |

The problem with this lift is that you might as well be buying it out of the trunk of someone's car-- because that is now much support you are going to get when something goes wrong. Their 7-Up lift did not work at all. Worse, once the KJ was modded for the lift it was not able to be put back to stock as the frame and cradle had to be torched and welded for their broken lift. One guy saved his by doing one of the first SFA conversions on this site ( I believe he was in Mexico). Rock Krapper did not pay for breaking his Jeep, he had to eat the cost. Then they came out with the X-factor and told a few people on this site it would work with CRD's. They lied. It did not even bolt up. One guy who bought it went through hell getting the lift sent back and getting his money back. At first they told him he was putting it on wrong, then they had the nerve to tell him they never said it would work with a CRD (when, at the time, it said it did right on their website). Contrast this with buying a Frankenlift-- I bought one of the first CRD suspension Frankenlift's and ran into a problem installing it. The guy who designed the lift called me back the same day and worked with me to make it right. That is service, the opposite of Rock Krapper. Why would anyone give money to people who have been known to lie in the past about their products and who fight with their customers when they try and return stuff that does not work? If you had spent thousands on a lift from this company, only to have their installation instructions ruin a new $24,000 vehicle when the lift was not able to withstand the forces of day to day driving, let alone off-roading-- would you not be pissed? That is what Rock Krapper did to people. So yeah, not many like them around here, but that is for good reasons. There are plenty of other options to pick from, Daystar, OME, Frankie, Rusty, SkyJacker, Jeepin By Al... |
