A couple weeks ago I got a stone in my windshield which has left a spiderweb type of crack.

Is there anything I should ask for when they put a new glass on? Mods or something? Like tint along the top edge.... or add hinges on the bottom LOL (j/k)

Anything I should check for once it's done? This will be done professionaly at an auto glass shop so I know it will be done right..... just wondering what you guys might have done or thought of doing.
Bullet proof is out of the question and so is liquid crystal type glass with shade control and I'm not putting a sliding glass with a screen.

Last but not least, what type of peanut butter should be used to secure the glass (figured I'd post it before someone else did. bwaaahaahaaa

you about have it covered, .....(in peanut butter even! ) had mine replaced a couple of months back, they came to my garage and did it, guy had been doing glass for 30 years, he's even the one who gets the call when new Jeeps come out of the factory with a glass problem so I guess he knows what he is doing.
If you have a light bar it takes a little longer as they have to take the outside plastic cover off but other than that you should be good!

They should ask you about any tinting etc. when you call to set the appointment so they can match it. My replacement looks just like the original glass (except for the LOSTKJS sticker on the top 8) ).

Then get the leather bomber jacket to complete the look.

And don't forget the scarf!

Actually, when you call a glass replacement service, they cross factory glass p/n's to ensure the right piece. So whatever style windshield your vehicle comes with, should be an exact match. Of course verifying you're getting the correct part is always a good thing too.

if your in canada you should also get the heated longjohns that plug into your cigarette lighter

that should keep you warm and toasty and complete the vintage look

And don't forget about the extra creamy peanut butter to give you that extra layer of insulation :D
