Are these any good? They sure look good!

Bit funny they also claim to have one for the front of the KJ. To what purpose?

And much nicer then the 'home made' welded ones or the optional rock rings.

I think this is next on my shopping list. Now if I could find someone that can ship it.... :D

I'm thinking of one but will probably replace the standard bolts with "allen" style socket bolts of the same length and gauge. With the stock bolts it almost looks like you can't use a socket wrench for the final torque, just a open-end or box wrench.... which is silly.

Also, if they put the fill hole higher up to accommodate steeper angles with lifts, how does one fill the diff to the right level if you DON'T have a lift...or have a very mild one?

Why not go with Crane or Riddler?

ya, there are two other threads about diff covers and its also listed in the KJ armor thread along with several others and prices for everything.

I agree with dieselenthusiast get a crane or Riddler, I have the Crane and I LOVE it!! its solid 3/8" with a lifetime warranty and it has the bolts and fill plug to where they wont be hit by anything

wow that rockcrusher one looks sweet! but i already have a crane one, and i love it! either crane, rock crusher or riddler, im sure you cant go wrong which one you pick!
i got the lubelocker gasket, which is sweet! i used it a few times already, but figured this time i will just use rtv just in case it wont seal a 4th time(which im sure it will, but just to be safe) and rtv works just fine!

you can kinda see it under there lol, i got some ARP stainless bolts for mine

Crane does and Im sure several of them do. One of the big reasons I went with Crane is that it is SOLID 3/8" whereas the Rock Crusher is 1/4" which is strong enough but I like to overkill stuff and not have to worry about it.

Another thing to consider is the owners of Crane and Riddler are personal friends of mine and both have pledged some raffle prizes for the upcoming LOST Safari, so they are definate supporters of KJ owners. They may cost more, but it would definately help show some appreciation for their support.

I have the Rockcrusher and love it. It has a lifetime warranty, is 1/4" thick with extra thick reinforcing ribs, you will not be breaking this diff. You can use the socket wrench to torque all the way. They recessed the holes to fit a socket. The fill hole is raised to allow for adjusted axle angles, the bolts are out of the way of rocks and debris as well. I don't see any reason to spend $130 or $150 on a diff cover when you can get this one for $100. This is way more protection than anyone will ever need. Crane and Riddler are good but overpriced IMO.

More material and proven strength = a little more money.

Again, I don't see a reason to spend that "little more money".

I 'concur'.. And I think it was 805gregg who clued me in on 4wheelparts @ $89.51 shipped.. It is sitting on my kitchen table drying as we speak.. I know I dont wheel as hard as some on here, and I wont kid myself otherwise, but 'better safe than sorry'.. Good enough for me (originally was going to be Riddler, but $40 is $40).

I feel the same way............. If I can help support those who are willing to support LOST, then I feel better about making the purchase. Family is family.

I get helping vendors and sponsors out, and that is cool, but when money is tight, which it seems to be pretty much everywhere I prefer to keep that extra money for my actual family and I'd think my "other family" would understand that. The Rockcrusher is a proven and reliable cover that will hold up to more than anything any of us could throw at it. Either way the Crane, Riddler, Ruff Stuff, Rockcrusher, Solid or any other real heavy duty cover will work for any of our jeeps, KJ or otherwise.
