How tricky is it to remove the front end to attach some tow hooks?

I didn't remove the bumper cover when I put in my hooks. Took about 1 hour to install them.

If you take your time you wont have to pull off the facia, even though that is the correct way to do it. you will need a swivell socket for the rear bolts.

What clips?

I thought the hooks were:

2 - M bolts
4 - hex nuts
2 - tow hooks

Drop the M-bolts into place, tape the hook to the rail. Break out the sockets.

The fronts not to bad to take off. You will need to pick up some plastic rivits (NAPA had them when I needed some) then once I got the front off I removed the black caps and used regular bolts and washers since I didn't have the M-bolt. Took a couple of hours to diss-assemble/ re-assemble the whole thing.

They don't make the "M" bolts anymore, you need to remove the "bumber caps" to install/remove the bolt plate they supply now.

I didn't think the 2002 KJ's had a bumper cap that needed to be removed.

Those caps are on all KJ's,'02-'07.In the pic that 501 posted you can see one cap removed and one istalled still, they are the little black ones on the front support beam.

Ah, I thought there were caps covering the holes where the bolts dropped into place.

What are the plastic rivits for? (silly question I'm sure)

You have to drill some out from the fender flare to get the front off.

no drilling required.. just cut them off with side cutters/wire cutters

I drilled mine so I didn't scratch up the flare any, but yea, you could do it either way.

Yeah, I snapped a bunch off mine when I took the plastic off to put the ARB bumper on. The factory fascia was already toast so I had fun ripping it off.
