Does anyone have experience with flush mount valve stems? Or do you have any suggestions for good quality valve stems that may not tear? http://www.expertoffroad.com/ProductInf ... P%20VS406C |

I had a set like those on my 49 Ford, was great until I misplaced the fill nozzle or whatever its called and couldn't air up a low tire. But otherwise yes they are basically hidden so would not tear off |

I’ve only read good reviews about them. I would probably go with the Gorilla brand: http://www.quadratec.com/products/92040_06.htm Plus, you can use the “Filler Tube” to air down as well as air up. Instead of pulling the valve core, I can use my Sun Performance tire deflators with the "Filler Tube" to air down. I’ve read a lot of negative things about the metal valve stems. Although the rubber valve stems seem okay, you still run the marginal risk of cutting or tearing one.

Rubber ones are cheaper;) Just sayin:) BTW, doesn't your '07 KJ have TPMS? Or are you not interested in keeping it? |

I have them on my Mustangs wheels and they leak down worse than rubber stems. If you check them all the time it ins't a big deal though. I also replaced a pair of them because the rubber dryed out and split over time. (this is on a vehicle that has been sitting in a garage for many Years) |

My OE wheels have the TPMS I have two sets of wheels, well actually three sets. 1. 15X7 Cragers for highway towing and off-road use 2. 17X7 OE tires/wheels for daily commute (Yes, I’m cheap, I want to use up all the rubber) 3. 16X8 Moabs - ? Not sure why I have them, I guess to put on my future XJ |
