this is my rough drawing of what showed up on my dash yesterday. i assumed it was a TPMS sensor because it looked like a tire, but I just read that sport models dont have TPMS. can someone identify this for me. btw it was flashes for about 10 seconds than goes away for about 5-10 minutes. and its in the top right corner.

Just because you have a Sport doesn't mean you don't have TPMS - there is a basic version that is supposed to be a sensor on each ground tire (plus the spare in some cases) with an indicator light in the dash. Looks to me like that is what you have. Did you check the pressures in them just to see if one was low? Oh and the flashing for ten-fifteen seconds then going away for a while is exactly what the EVIC I have does when I connect it (since I don't have any sensors to tell it differently). |

Doesn't that one mean that you're container of Jack/Coke in your cup holder has run low? |

tires are all good, still flashing... i took the spare off about 2 months ago, so that wouldnt make much sense. do i need to get on a scanner and clear the code? |

TPMS monitors all 5 tires. If you took off the spare that could be causing it. |

Yes, it must be able to tell that the spare is there and has the proper pressure. Not sure why it took it 2 months to figure out that its not there. Who told you it would cost $300 to get that fixed? They are ~$75 on the internet and a tire shop 'should' change it out for under $20.. I do it myself in the driveway though. |

you dont even need to do that i have seen a car that had a light stuck on like that so the old guy that owned it got a pair of vise grip and a 16 penny nail heat up nail melt hole to bulb tap with hammer no more light or just put electrical tape over it then no more light |

I was so insulted with it that I took the bulb out of the dash. I agree that you likely have an intermittent problem with one of your TPM sensors that goes away shortly after you drive away. Does anybody know if the sensors have batteries? |

Yes, they do have batteries. |
