Hey guys....my front shaft is bad and covered under an aftermarket warranty, dealership cant get one. Its on backorder till whenever.... over 200 waiting. The warranty company will pay for aftermarket so I'm looking for one to buy. I know of the Tom Woods shaft and I know NAPA can get one thats OEM style. What are your thoughts??? |

If the warranty will cover a tom woods, or JE REEL, then that is definitely a better route. So when you are out of warranty you can just replace U-Joints instead of a $400 front DS. Refer to this previous thread http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... sc&start=0 |

In the process of being "shafted" by Josh at Tom Woods Custom Driveshaft..... I'll post pics after the install. They have been great so far and cant wait to see the final product. *also he told me that the new JK's are using that stupid Rezeppa-Rezeppa design as the REAR driveshaft! He'd like to strangle the design techs who made that decision..... I guess its too cheap to rebuild a traditional U Joint so they need to make it so you buy a whole new shaft from the dealership |

Glad to see Josh is treating you good. He was great for me too. Did you receive the pdf file and did the information help? |

Doesnt sound as bad as the WK. They have u-joints but you cant even rebuild them. Gotta buy the whole shaft even though they have ujoints. They really come up with some great ideas, I hope they are getting paid a lot. |
