Does anyone know the where abouts of a forum that talks about putting OME coils and daystar spacers together? I was thinking about it and I know I would need a few other things but I just wanted to see where the forum was because I couldn't find it

not sure about the previous forum, but i beleive once you mix OME and daystar it becomes a frankenlift, which includes daystar top plates, OME coils, rancho (or OME) struts and shocks, and teraflex bumpstops. also some aftermarket bushings i think

you won't be able to use the 2.5 inch daystar spacer with OME springs. Won't be able to compress them enough to get the top nut on. And even if you do, there will be way too much preload on the springs, the coils will probably be touching. Overall....it will ride like doodoo

No.

A Frankie does use OME coils, OME/Rancho struts, Daystar top plate, and a special daystar spacer that they have rights to (e.g. only place Daystar sells them to is Al J's). The special spacer is smaller than the 2.5" one, probably about 1 and 3/4's.

Yes in a way
that is how a Frankenlift is taller than say just using Heavy Duty OME springs as the spacer preloads the spring somewhat to provide the extra height, that and the Daystar top plate

ok its making sense now. I heard people bring this up but I forget what they said.

But just throwing it out there. Why wouldnt it work? like what wouldnt be able to go where besides being able to compress the springs? or is not being able to compress the springs the reason?

Isn't basically the same 3/4" poly spacer Rusty sells. Combine that with OME HD coils and a Daystar top plate (JBA sells them) and yourself got a dissembled franky.

Yes, the .75in spacer that rustys sells is the same as the spacers on the franken lift. Eddo once said he held them side by side.
