Is it just me or is the reverse light on the liberty useless? What have you guys done, replaced with better bulbs, or mounted some bulbs facing backwards? If you mounted bulbs, what did you use, and where did you mount it?

Thats basically exactly what I'm looking for, except I dont know where to mount the lights. He had the advantage that he had a basket... Maybe I'm going to have to invest in some cross rails... :( Maybe I will just fab some though :)

I think I decided where to mount them
http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread. ... rse+lights

It might not give me the wides spread of light but I can alwayse position them. Now my next question, I would like to mount hellas for the backups, a pair of 500's are a bit big IMO, so what would be smaller and just as bright? I'm more concerned with a wide beam of light them a far one...

Wow! Thats by far the best idea I've seen yet... Of couse, I don't have a trailer hitch, so that poses a challange but still. THat was sweet. Is there a writeup on how he fabbed that mount?

The two products above are separate products and can be purchased. The top picture is the bracket by itself or the bracket with lights. The picture on the bottom came from a website. The product is called White Night http://www.autotrucktoys.com/liberty/Wh ... 4C482.aspx

You’re absolutely right, that’s why I like the hitch receiver with the wiring quick disconnect and the ability to pull the light carrier.

I have been thinking the same thing. I wanted to flush mount some into the bumper, but thought there might be an issue with aiming them properly. But my XC Crossrails took care of that issue.

I had some mounted to the bottom of the bumper, but over time the plastic sagged and the were useless, also they filled up with mud/water and were much more dim.

Also having them mounted up high also gives you a better angle to work with, like if you needed to do something and not block the light.
