i know many ppl have ask...what lockers will fit my 8.25...the reason i asked is i went to go install a power trax last night and two problems happened...one the ring gear was to big and two the axle shafts seemed to be too long we couldn't slide the center pin in...the driver side axle we were able to move out of the way but, the passenger was tight after we put the c-clip in...any ideas???

checked the same part numbers were showed for a xj and liberty...

I'm just guessing that perhaps you didn't follow exact installation procedure and over looked something on one of the procedures.

Try pulling it back out and start over from square one and follow each step of procedure exactly as stated in the installation guide.

Before putting in the C-clip on the driverside the directions state to check the gap between the drivers using the check block. The narrow side should fit between the drivers, but the wide side should not. If the wide side fits you you should stop and call support at 864-843-9231, there may be a problem with your differential case.

axles are the same size...there is no longer and shorter side...and also...it's not just me doing it...i'm at the 4x4 shop and we were up until 11:00 trying to figure this thing out...has anyone ever tried it w/ 4:56 gears before?? because the ring gear almost seemed to be thick gears

I wasn't saying anything about the axles being longer or shorter. I was stating info from the Installation book about the check block between the drivers. Now you throw 4:56 gears into the equation with the ring gear being thicker.

Try calling their support number at 864-843-9231!
